CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

Theme: “Harmony”

Write and Win!!! Write and Win!!! Write and Win!!!

The Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike’s annual Creative Writing Competitions for students and members of staff of the University, aim at creating healthy fora for the synergy of ideas, which could be channeled towards constructively solving many challenges of our contemporary existence.

The theme for the 2nd AE-FUNAI Creative Writing Competitions is “Harmony.”

Lots of prizes and gift items abound for winners in all the categories of the competitions. All entries should be submitted to aefunaiharmony@yahoo.com and copied to aefunaicreativewriting@gmail.com.

The categories are as follows:

Poetry Category:
Participants are expected to write a poem of not more than 30 lines on the above theme. Each participant is expected to submit not more than 3 poems, out of which two will be selected.
Prose Category:
Participants are expected to submit a short story of between 2,000 to 3,000 words on the above theme of the competition. Only one entry per participant will be permitted in this category.
Drama Category:
Participants are expected to submit a short drama piece of not more than 3,000 words on the above theme of the competition. Only one entry per participant will be permitted in this category.
Submission Guidelines:

Only bona fide students and members of staff of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike are eligible to compete for these events.
All submitted entries MUST be sent as MS Word attachment, and the file being attached must have only the manuscript’s title, and the manuscript being submitted. There MUST not be anything like name(s) or other forms of identity on the manuscript being submitted.
The personal details of the person making submissions (like names, department, registration number and all forms of identity, including a scanned copy of the University identity card), should be submitted as another separate file attachment.
Deadline for submission of all entries is 11pm on 31st October, 2019.
