Governor Seyi Makinde has nominated a 27-year old graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Seun Fakorede, as a commissioner, OYO INSIGHT has learnt.

He bagged a civil engineering degree from OAU in 2016.

Fakorede, who hails from Idere area of Ibarapa Central local government, is joining the likes of Alhaja Faosat Joke Sunni from Iseyin local government and Professor Rapheal Afonja from Ogbomoso North local government who were last week nominated to join the 14 others who were inaugurated last week.

If deployed to the ministry of youth and sports, Fakorede would become the youngest to man the ministry.

OYO INSIGHT learnt that members of the Oyo State House of Assembly, who are on recess, are expected to come back to screen the three nominees on Wednesday after which they would be inaugurated.

Youth should dominate government as obtainable in most parts of the world today unlike a government in Nigeria today that is filled with grannies.

We hope he will be different from the previous youths that have brought nothing but shame to the youths of this country they represented right from our first day of democracy.
