The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has said it has deployed its Tactical Squad to tackle kidnapping and banditry in some parts of Niger State, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
The NSCDC Commandant in the state, Philip Ayuba, revealed this in Minna on Monday
Ayuba said the officers would collaborate with other security agencies to flush criminals out of Shiroro, Rafi, Munya , Gurara and Paikoro local government areas.

He said, “We have already identified the black spots as part of our proactive measures and deployed our well-trained personnel to ensure their arrest and prosecution.

“I am assuring the good people of Niger that the security measures already in place will end the activities of kidnapping and banditry in the state.

“All we require from the public is information about any suspicious characters in their areas for action.”

The commandant said they had already deployed plainclothes officers on Suleja-Agaiye-Bida highway, Minna- Kontagora-Nasko road and Minna-Munya-Shiroro road.
