Nigeria is faced with big security challenge. Until strict law like death sentence is pronounced on murderers and kidnappers I don't see Nigeria Making headway in security matter.

the usual assumptions that you can scare off armed civilians by shooting in the air might be what got them killed.

Experience in Feild combat was unavailable, you do not charge at an unknown enemy with an unarmoured vehicle Head on, instead you ambush the enemy while checking their numbers and weapon strength.

The army is better trained for situations like this.
