From when PDP failed to provide enough evidence of the server and their witnesses couldn't even defend their claims I already knew this case has no headway anymore.
The painful thing is that they will still head to Supreme Court again. What I really don't understand, is there an arrangement we don't know about that pays funds to oppositions for election court issues? Because I can't understand why these politicians keep going to court even when it is so glaring that they will loose the case.

i can assure you buhari and atiku are well known to each other very well. it is a distraction tactics. kill yourself over their matter; you are on your own. tongue cool

Honestly that's just the truth. I am somehow beginning to suspect there is an angle of money looting going on in these petition issues which they settle behind close doors but just make the masses feel like a dispute is actually going on when there is none.

The constitution says before you can become the president, you must be a Nigerian by birth, question you should be asking is, is Atiku a Nigerian by birth?
Read up the constitution to know who qualifies as a Nigerian by birth.

Mynd44:

If you are not born a Nigerian, you cannot contest to be president.
Reason for the Obama birth certificate scandal

First, Nigeria is not America. Every country has its own methods/laws for eligibility, so we can't really use one as any basis to determine the other. Second, there was no "scandal", just propaganda from misinformed/disingenuous opponents (scandal implies covering up a misdeed, which was not the case). President Obama was born in 1961, in Hawaii which became a state in 1959. Also, one of his parents was a US citizen - hence he was American by birth to American, as well as born in the USA.

But on to the statement "not born a Nigerian"...

The part of the Constitution relevant to Atiku says of birthright citizenship: "every person born in Nigeria before the date of independence, either of whose parents or any of whose grandparents belongs or belonged to a community indigenous to Nigeria."

Atiku's parents and grandparents belong to a community retroactively indigenous to Nigeria as of 1961, per the referendum. It's the same logic that allows us to accept that if somebody's parents were born in Lagos Colony, they belong to a community indigenous to Nigeria - even though not technically born in Nigeria since the Colony was not part of Southern Nigeria till 1906, nor in Nigeria till 1914.

Finally, let's not forget that the sole arbiter of who is eligible or not - INEC - did not disqualify him.

Provide proof or tell Atiku to provide.
Atiku is a Nigerian no doubt but he must provide proofs that he's a Nigerian by birth, read the constitution and come back

Being in illegal position for 8years doesn't imply you are qualified to be their in the first place. At the end of the tribunal or this election case, Nigeria shall deport him back to Cameroon after paying us all that he got during his 8years illegal occupation of the sit of the vice president

1. Atiku is a Nigerian. He became a Nigerian when his region (Northern Cameroon) became part of Nigeria on 1 June, 1961, through a referendum. People are trying to muddy the waters but whether a person became Nigerian via territorial change, naturalization, or whatever, they are Nigerian and thus eligible for elections, subject to the other requirements in the Constitution. I'm not debating whether he is a worthy candidate or whatever, just that he has been Nigerian since 1961.

2. There is currently no sovereign country called Biafra, thus this second point is not even valid for argument.

We are talking about being a Nigerian by birth , not by naturalization , conquest etc. The constitution was clear on this matter. Atiku has to be born again in nigeria before he can contest for the position of the president

We keep shooting ourselves in the leg...Inec didnot disqualify him but court can based on the evidence before it. If is proven beyond reasonable doubt that atiku is not a Nigerian by birth then it as good as saying Inec admitted him in error...that error they court has to correct before his deportation

After serving as vice president for 8 years you are now telling us now that he is not a Nigerian by birth......God help us
That is exactly why he was expected to prove and defend his origin if he is convince that he is a true Nigerian but he didnt. The court is not going to base its judgment on assumptions but on proven facts.
Do you think Atiku didn't know that buhari attended school up to secondary school? He knew all this while but was looking for something to pull him back.
In fact, the simple response to your comment is;
After being a president of this country twice, under military era and civilian(2015-2019), you are now telling us that Buhari doesn't have certificate......God help us

Atiku as a vice president wasn't illegal, the constitution said nothing about being a Nigerian by birth for the position, it is only for the position of the president that it was explicit on the rule, Atiku can be a VP over and over again but to be the President, he has to prove he's a Nigerian by birth.
