While many people are complaining about the economy and how there is no money anywhere, some of us are making decent income by being content creators. These days, all you need is a good smartphone, Internet connection, a quiet room with a nice table/chair and mentality that is not lazy to work hard.
If you are looking for get rich quick schemes, please look elsewhere. This write-up is for those who want to grow steadily and make some money while enjoying what they do.
Vlogging is usually very expensive to start up due to the high costs of DSLR Cameras and lenses and tripod stands and other gadgets. The average Vlogger kit could go for between N800k and N1.5million; meanwhile the one I use as a product reviewer for companies cost me below N200k to start. Funny part is that I can make this N200k from 2 good jobs or 4 normal jobs.
Truth is, do you really need a DSLR to make good YouTube videos? Do you even have the money to spend to set-up a proper video suite? If you’re reading this, I’m guessing that you don’t.
Just like me, you can start with a good smartphone; I personally use the 48MP OPPO F11 Pro for all my YouTube videos, even pictures. To be honest, it is an all-round device that helps me do all I need to do without having to worry about editing and software.
The 128GB storage capacity can be extended to 256GB and OPPO F11 Pro the phone is capable of making all video sections readily available for use and to record as much section as possible.
The 48+5MP dual rear camera setup, and then the rising front camera which is unique and the first in the market are worth the price compared to most vlog cameras that do not provide the video quality needed. The phone image pixel is 8000 x 6000 Pixels quite an impressive one and the phone camera give a vivid representation of the surrounding environment.
The battery is one spec that blew my mind; it comes with a 4000mAh capable of staying on throughout the period of the video section. With the VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge system you in no time get the device ready for use.
Now that you have sorted the camera part, you need to buy nice single colour wallpapers, I personally have 3. One is bright, one is cool and the other is neutral; just to make it seem like my background is always changing. Then I also ordered a phone tripod stand and a selfie stick from Jumia.
The rest is the actual research that goes into making content, the connections that get you your first content job and the rest will be Naira and Kobo.
All the best!

Trust me it does. A phone having 48MP+5MP with Led flash, HDR and panorama features obviously should.
