South African Police Raid China Mall Of Counterfeit Goods by KLEINBASS: 9:27am On Aug 24, 2019
Law enforcement officials have confiscated a large number of counterfeit goods at the China Mall, in Boksburg on Gauteng’s East Rand.

The multi-disciplinary operation was led by a tip-off that the mall is selling counterfeit goods.

The items will also be checked to see if they entered the country legally.

Just two weeks ago, officials conducted a raid in the Johannesburg city centre that saw a mountain of counterfeit goods seized and hundreds of people arrested.

They were believed to be in the country illegally. Ten police officials were also arrested for allegedly attempting to re-sell the confiscated goods.

Way to go South Africa. While the Chinese are busy flooding Africa, setting up businesses, obtaining resident permits with ease, marrying African women in order to build business empires in Africa, Africans in China are being systematically pushed into obscurity. A lot of African owned businesses in Guangzhou are being stifled by all manners of trickery by authorities there. Africans used to own shops in places like Guangyuan xilu and Sanyuanli but today one will hardly see African owned shops there. Similarly, Nigerians who engage in shipping and freight businesses are being squeezed out of the market by unfavorable policies put in place by authorities in Guangzhou. If what is good for the goose is equally good for the gander then Africans legitimately living in China should be accorded the same privileges Chinese people in Africa are being given.
