THE STATE OF BENUE STATE UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL.
Early this year, a prominent Medical Doctor in Gboko was critically ill and he was rushed to Benue State University Teaching Hospital to
undergo dialysis but amazingly there wasn't a single dialysis machine in the whole of that facility and the man was later flown to UniBen
Teaching Hospital where he was eventually rendered the service.
And just this morning,I read online that the Students of the Benue State University yesterday protested against what they described as the
poor treatment that was being given to the NUBESS President who was shot by unknown gun men 3days back and they also demanded
that the Government should transfer the victim to National Hospital Abuja where they felt he will be given a proper treatment and
Government eventually did just as the students demanded.
Now,If a Teaching Hospital which ordinarily is supposed to have standard and quality service delivery has been bastardized and abandoned
in it's pity state to an extent that it can't even handle a minor medical challenge then the Government has completely failed in it's
responsibility.

I'm seriously pitying Benue State University Medical Students because if this hospital that is supposed to be like their laboratory for
practicals isn't properly fixed and upgraded one wonders what those students are learning from there in the first place.
