Hello, thank you for the words of encouragement. But sometimes I wander why people without experience can not be given a chance. Most of us do better because we want to show we can do the work. If you don't give us opportunity to work how can we gather the experience. Thanks

I understand how you feel, Oma. Never mind the companies and organizations that are asking for experience, it just comes with the territory. At Lingo Africa, we usually advise people to list all the informal work experiences they have ever had because they must have learnt one or two skills from them.

For instance, if you ever led a youth group in the church, list it as one of your leadership experiences. If you learnt a language, list it. Your NYSC work experience, list it. If you did any internship at any company while still in school, list it. By the time you count all the months and years you spent working in any capacity or leading a team to carry out duties, you will arrive at the number of years they need.
