Anything about that Enugu airport dey vex me, if it weren't for the clannishness of Igbo politicians when Stella Oduah as aviation minister was told to account for the billions she said she spent on the airport just for repainting that airport, this wouldn't be happening.

Following the closure of the Akanu Ibiam international airport, Enugu, by the federal government, the Ebonyi State Government on Friday said it will provide free transport services with armed escort for its residents travelling to Owerri, Imo State.

This is serious. Why not tackle what is making the roads dangerous? Why do we like expensive solutions? How many armed escorts will be sufficient for hundreds of people travelling? SMH

You are a typical Nigerian. They borderline ninnies. Why government provide such as amenities to individuals who can afford it. Anybody who can afford air transportation should not have issue travelling to Owerri on land with armed guards.

Why closing the airport when there was not even request for construction companies to tender quotations for the repairs.
A contractor has not even bn selected.
This will linger till next year.

I hope people can see why IPOB is justified in targeting our useless elite! Was this how the shutting down of the Abuja airport was handled? Wasn’t the contractor (Julius Berger) primed and ready to go the second the airport was shut? Wasn’t Kaduna airport designated as an alternative, and billions spent on it to bring it up to standard (of course this was a sly way of making it int’l through the back door)? Wasn’t the Kaduna-Abuja expressway fixed as a consequence? Weren’t arrangements made for the protection of travellers shuttling between Kaduna and Abuja?

Our elite should have forced the evil Buhari gov’t to put the necessary logistics and safety measures in place before shutting down that airport!
