Nigeria has to first make the environment conducive for establishing business otherwise this trip is an exercise in Futility. A country where as a business you still pay to generate your own electricity because the power system is unreliable. Then you have the case of multiple taxation which can cripple any business. Buhari needs to address this not on paper, but with action. No multi national will come to the country to establish if these are not in place, and Toyota and the likes are involved in manufacturing which needs infrastructure investment especially in power and there is the issue of supply chain. Do we have reliable steel companies that can produce steel parts especially the chasis to their specification, and also there is raw material costs.
Why is the puzzle of Ajaokuta not resolved? So you see people enough equations must be resolved before these guys come in and establish. Innoson is really trying i have to give him that, his resilience is worthy of study. But i don't think multi nationals would want to go that way because of their Kaizen mentality to production which will mean until we address their concerns on the supply chain and infrastructure all these visits are at best just a waste of tax payers and oil revenue monies.
