The National and State Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Kaduna State on Saturday said it had so far conveyed decisions on six out of the 14 petitions documented before it.

Mrs. Hafsat Suleiman, Secretary to the court unveiled this to the News Agency of Nigeria not long after the council rejected a request brought before it by Mr. Benjamin Faing for ailing in legitimacy.

The 14 petitions are testing different choices by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in the February 23 and March 9 surveys in the state.

Suleiman disclosed to NAN that the council had closed the three petitions testing INEC’s choice on the decision of Senator Uba Sani of All Progressives Congress in the Kaduna Central Senatorial District.

She said the council had likewise finished up the request documented against INEC’s arrival of Senator Danjuma La’ah of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Kaduna South senatorial region survey.

The appeal against Senator La’ah was brought by Mr. Barnabas Bala Bantex, the previous Deputy Governor of the state and competitor of the APC.

She said that the council had similarly finished up the appeal documented by Dr. Ishaya Sarki Habu of the APC testing the race of Garba Shehu Nicolas of the PDP in the Sanga/Jema’a Federal Constituency.

Suleiman said further that the council had conveyed judgment on the appeal recorded by Mr. Aso Nehemiah Sunday of the APC, testing the arrival of Gwani Gideon Lucas of the PDP for the Kaura Federal Constituency situate.

She said that the judgment for Jaba State Constituency brought to six, petitions so far finished up, while decisions on eight petitions containing one Federal Constituency and seven House of Assembly petitions were all the while pending.
