First of all,she didn't force herself to join them. She could be the closest friend he has to fill the role or complete the team.
Secondly,nobody is stopping men from doing bridesmen,seriously its not women's fault they can wear both male and women attire and still look good and accepted by the society.
Just don't take it too serious.....its really no big deal. Everything must not be gender-based for crying out loud. The role doesn't require the use of breasts or penis.
