"Team Nigeria rose from 6th then fourth to the 2nd position on the medals list! They made a steady climb to the top" reiterates the sports Minister Hon Sunday Dare; who has been slugging it out in Morocco with the Nigerian Dream Team as the All-African Games for 2019 comes to an end!

An excited Sports Minister Sunday Dare drummed for a huge welcome for the Dream team which he agrees showed tremendous skill in face of show much talent and support as abundant in the other teams.

As the Nigerian Team swept in more gold medals in Wrestling, Athletics and Canoeing into their medal basket, Mr Sunday Dare canvassed for a huge welcome for the homeward bound team. This comes in the face of what is looking like Nigerias most successful record breaking outing ever.

The Youth and Sports Minister urged sporting fans to show support for the team as they arrive Nigeria stating that second place in such a highly competative tourney was no ordinary feat. He urged Nigerians to be more involved in future competitions saying the excuse of past poor performances wasnt enough to shun from the country's most uniting youth exercise - sports.

He was very impressed with Tobiloba Amusan the gold winnner sprinter, Anigbata Grace in the women’s triple jump who picked a gold medal, Edem  Offiong and Cecilia Akpan both who beat compatriots Funke Oshonaike and Fatima Bello to pick gold in the women’s table tennis double’s final.

Other four gold medals were won in the weightlifting event, with Olarinoye Adenike winning two gold medals in the women’s 55kg clean and jerk and 55kg events while Amalaha Chika won gold in the women’s 55kg snatch and Appah Emmanuel claimed gold in the men’s 61kg event to mention a few.
