Mokalik, a movie by ace director, Kunle Afolayan is now available for viewing on the popular movie streaming platform, Netflix. The movie became available to Netflix subscribers on Sunday.

‘Mokalik' tells a career story of an 11-year-old boy, Ponmile, from the middle-class suburbs who spends the day as a lowly apprentice at a mechanic workshop in order to view life from the other side of the tracks. When his father arrives to take him home; Ponmile must make up his mind if he wants to return to school or take on his apprenticeship full time.

The film stars Kunle Afolayan’s nephew Tooni Afolayan, Ayo Ogunshina and Dayo Akinpelu. It also features soul singer Simisola Ogunleye, and ex-BBNaija housemate Tobi Bakre.

Afolayan had disclosed the acquisition of Mokalik by Netflix in July, signalling increased interest in Nollywood contents by the American streaming giant after it acquired actress Genevieve Nnaji’s Lion Heart last year.
