Akunta, your Oha/Ora soup is perfect dear but what happened to that super spice of Ora soup: the uziza(the leaves and the seeds). You forgot to include it. The mothers, grandmother, aunties taught me to add it to the soup and I went an extramile and experimented with spicing the meat for the soup with uziza too and that was superb.
Have you ever tried cooking your Ora soup with Palm nut broth/mmiri akwu (the palm nut sauce that results from cooked and washed palm nuts)? It is a lot better than using oil and dare to spice your meat with some ground uziza seed first and see if anybody eating that your soup won't be singing Uh-la-la-la.
All the same your recipe is right and intact and we both seem to have Oha as our favorite soup too and there are so many ways one can make some soups, we all just have our different method. I am going to open a thread inviting people to exchange recipes with me and I will invite you okay, it's a good way to learn from others and improve ones culinary abilities.

In other words try my Oha recipe= your oha recipe + Uziza + Meat stock spiced with Uziza(and other spices you use) + palm nut broth - Onions=An Oha soup with a great native taste

i agree with Ivynwa.My oha soup is not complete without a handful of uziza leaf or seed but i think The Anambarians prefer their Oha soup just plain with Oha Levaes only whilist Abians and Imos add Uziza leaf.
Uziza leaf and seeds are medicinal and is great for pregnant and lactating women.

u r very rite, adding uziza leaves gives it a spicy taste. But, i hvnt really tried preparing my Oha with palm nout broth(Mmiri akwu) though i hv tasted quite a few done that way and i must confess that it makes it tastier!
Looking forward to ur thread where i can improve on my receipes and ofcourse learn new ones!
