E.U and the state of the Nation
The European Union was formed as part of Recovery plan after the second World war, it was first conceived by U.S Secretary of state George Marshall in 1947, to fight hunger, poverty, desperation and chaos, with a initial 1205 million dollar to administer and Co-ordinate the programme, the organization was called the organization for European Economic Cooperation (OEEC) with country majorly from western Europe. OECD is for Economics development. In 1957 Building on the success of the coal and coal treaty, the six countries expand cooperation to other economics sectors. They sign the treaty of ROME, creating the European Economic Community (EEC) or common market. The EEC was a regional organization which aims to bring about economic integration among its members state it was created by the Treaty of Rome in 1957 upon the formation of European Union (EU) in 1993. The EEC was incorporated and renamed as the European Commission (EC) as of today European Union has 27 members state
1. The main purpose of establishing the EU from its official web site is “to promote peace, establish a unified economy and monetary System, promote inclusion and combat discrimination, breakdown barriers to trade and borders, encourage technological and scientific development, champion environmental protection among other purpose.
The EU has a total of 28 countries Namely Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, republic of Cyprus, Czech republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
2. The challenges facing the E.U: multiple challenges which include but not limited to the following, including the controversial Brexit, or the Uk plan to Leave the E.U, trade issues between the Union and its partners, the migration crisis the growth of populism across the region and a shaky relationship with the trump administration

The challenges of EU
i. Breaxit – is the withdrawal of the united kingdom from the E.U following – Referendum held on 23 June 2016 in which 51.6% of those voting supported the British leaving the E.U. Before U.K could leave the union there are some certain conditions which must be met as the U.K parliament invoke Article 50 withdrawal notice but them are some certain condition which must be met before the U.K leaving such condition are migration, financial settlement, U.K citizens elsewhere in the E.U and other E.U citizens in the U.K, British overseas territories these and many more issues makes the Brexit virtually none achievable with a deal but if the British must leave the E.U it must leave without a deal.
ii. Trade is also a serious challenge facing the E.U because there is trade in balance among its members which occasionally causes some rift among the E.U member Nations . The E.U has trade agreement to varying level with most often European countries.
iii. Migration: the European migrants crisis also known as refugees crisis in a period beginning in the 2015 characterized by high member of people arriving E.U through the Mediterranean Sea or overland through south east Europe. It is part of a pattern of increased immigration to Europe from other continent which began in mid-20th Century and which has encountered resistance in many European Countries.
Immigrant from outside European include Asylum seekers and Economic migrant .drought, poverty and violence were part of Major issues that cause migration to Europe, many far Right leaders were not ready to accept this migrant because the Aid agency or those that were been given the Contract to house these migrant have found the business lucrative and in effect become a cartel that decide the fate of this politicians. That is why countries like Italy, Malta and Cyprus doesn’t want the rescue ship to dock at the sea port with the migrant.
iv. The growth of populism - also known as Euroscepticism, the term populism in used by right-wing politician and political parties that are generally known for the opposition to immigration from the Islamic world. Populist is a revolt policy that neglect the downtrodden.
The E.U as a regional group is facing a myriad of challengers but the E.U has made it possible for itself to overcome such challenges by trying to address them squarely.
