newsynews: WHEN WILL DADDY FREEZ GET SENSE ? boycotting MTN, DSTV, SIBTC is foolishness at the highest order...Nigerians are the ones working there , if they eventually shut down , it's gonna be a double disaster with many job lose , INSTEAD , REVOKE THE LISENSE OF THOSE FIRMS , LET OUR OWN INVESTORS TAKE OVER THEM TO AVOID JOB LOSE. |
Re: Daddy Freeze Boycotts South African Products Over Xenophobic Attacks by Enwhen(m): 1:01pm On Sep 03, 2019 |
imgombe2018: Bro recharge it. should rather ask the govt. to revoke their license and give it to our own investors like the Otedola, Elumelu, Dangote or who ever is competent to handle it , because it Nigerians that r working for these South African firms , PMB doesn't give a damn about it because the majority of those affected , their brother's here in Nigeria didn't vote for Buhari and PMB could have done same to Abuja pple but rather refused to give them minister for refusing to vote for him. Just imagine if it were fulanis that are being killed in the SA , Baba Buhari would have flown to affecting area to stop it the way he did in year 2001 when the OPC masacher fulanis as a repraisal in Oyo state under the leadership of Lamidi Adesina as gov. |

newsynews: Er..m lets be wise in our actions and reactions towards this whole thing. What I mean is... if you say because of what the animalistic SAs are doing over there, you now want to cripple their biz here, remember majority of our people are employees in these companies and we all know the economy situation in our country. Also note that, its not the officials of these companies that are attacking us but the lazy bones over there. For the sake of our brothers working in these companies, please let's leave them out of this whole saga. I hate seeing people become jobless. We can not lose over there and come and lose here again. Government has not put anything in place for this decision you're about to take. So lets be subtle as a dove but be wise as a serpent in matters like these. |

Jentle244:MTN has been trying to exit Nigeria by selling it's shares on your stock exchange ,but your government is against that. You know why? Because without it,nig erian telecom infrastructure will lag behind. Also nigerian who will take over, with destroy the infrastructure it will leave behind like you did with British colonists infrastructure. MTN is a long term investor something any government wants. It invest in markets everyone is running away, they're even in Iran and Syria. |

Princeofasia: You dense and backward Let them first of all take the biz there in their country, most of u don't know what's happening because eu don't travel, The south africal are lazy people dey can't work let alone do biz , HOW DO U EXPECT THEM TO TAKE BIZ , WHEN DEY DONT WANT TO WORK ?? Nigerians are very hard-working and educated people, the south south africans don't want to go to school and don't want to work but want the private companies to employ them over merit , how is that possible ??, Most of our graduate that could not get a job here , when they come to SA, they get job quickly because they educated and are skilled, also the igbos are also doing well in biz , all these are their problems, even in Nigeria the Igbos r the owners of market biz , in my state they control and my people cannot chase Dem because they can't do it , that's what God bless Dem with...I expect the SAs to wake up and be hard working because if they come go to Nigeria , hungry will kill Dem since they are not ready to work, people that their govt has provided them with almost everything needed to strive yet, they r complaining , other African citizens in Southy who never had such opportunity in their countries are taking advantage of it and they are complaining , will u blame Nigerians and others for their laziness 1 Like |

Jentle244:yea that's true.. afterall we ve got ours and can even improve the system. who need MTN when we have GLOBACOM(arguably one of the best in naija even though it stil need some improvement). who need stanbic bank when we have severals bigger banks in naija(UBA, FBN, GTB, Zenith, just to mention a few ). who need DSTV when we have startimes (even though the system still need alot of improvement ) it could better if the aforementioned is scraped off. afterall/perhabs the likes of otedola, dangote, mike adenugu(or others) could invest into this sectors and improve it... #ENOUGHISENOUGHFORXENOPHOBIAATTACK |

Enwhen: Like you mentioned there will be a slow response from the government if at all.. In the meantime boycott the services.. Unfortunately there will be people affected in the short term but if its done in an effective manner, the CEOs should be able to effectively engage with their SA policy makers.. Displaying their successful interventions becomes another feather in their cap regarding their take on social responsibility in the different countries they trade in.. Eventual win-win . |
