As an Economic Analyst I grossly condemn the Xenophobic act, being meted out against *Nigeria* in South Africa. It will not only result into hate speech but a *full blown political instability* which will, in turn affect *both countries Foreign Direct Investment(FDI)*.Nobody would like to invest in a country infested or characterized with political instability, *talk more of engaging in a bilateral trade agreement.*
For years South Africa and Nigeria have enjoyed healthy socioeconomic growth.Infact, *Nigeria played a major role, as the appellate, "the Giant of Africa"* in fostering Peace and Unity in that region when *Apartheid regime* was the order of the day in South Africa, during the *Era of Nelson Mandela of Blessed memory*. Alas South Africans have forgotten the great role of Peace and Tranquility its enjoyed as a result of the immense effort by the Nigerian government!!!‍♂‍♂‍♂
*How come, that the racist abuse the south Africans suffered among themselves is ironically proportional to Nigerians?* Xenophobic act, as the name implies is grossly condemned!!

This is a great cause for concerned as *reprisal or revenge is now the case, here in Nigeria*.Information reaching me, from *Shoprite, Lekki,* has it that, Shoprite has been thrown into full mayhem, chaos!!! *Is that not a sudden or unexpected unemployment*, some Nigerians working in *Shoprite* want to subject themselves?
*What about other Direct Investment of South Africa, here in Nigeria like Dstv, and Mtn notably?* Won't that result into mass unemployment here in Nigeria, should the *Foreign Direct Investors,* choose to call it a day here in Nigeria and vice-versa?
This is a grave questions that needed serious economic address!
The government of both countries should seat and dialogue the economic implications ahead.....
