Mr Man,

An American will not talk this garbage you are talking here. If an American citizen is found to hold stakes in companies that originated from countries against American foreign interests, do you think such an American will be spared?

Who are these Nigerians owning stakes in these companies? Could they not start their own Nigerian brands and models of these businesses? Who are these saboteurs who prefer to collect blood money from South Africans in the name of franchising and yet have their own being slaughtered like chickens?

Nigerians are angry and their anger is starting to have outlets. First it was Ekweremadu, and now this. We are all here and watching.

Shoprite is ONE tenant out of more than 60 tenants (or shopowners) in that building.

Shoprite is the only South African business in that entire building.

The building they attacked in Surulere is called AOS Mall (Adeniran Ogunsanya Mall) and it is owned by a Nigerian company 100%.

All the shops looted have nothing to do with Shoprite and with South Africa.

So, Nigerians are losing out in both places.

And we are quick to boast that we are very smart!

No one is questioning the severity but this is misplaced anger! Shoprite, MTN they provide jobs and a way for Nigerians to get out of poverty. Our useless government should be the one we put pressure on. Just like the South Africans that are angry at other Africans taking their jobs instead of focusing on the white men who destroyed their economy!

The ugly truth is....destroying South African businesses in Nigeria will cause more harm than good. I mean why would we even destroy their business when almost all the workers there are Nigerians?? That would cause more unemployment in Nigeria unless our government are ready to rebrand Shoprite to Shopwise grin etc.

I think this is happening because the Government its self failed in its responsibility.

I remember when I dey primary school, in the mid 90s, that time there was a riot between Danfo drivers and Okada boys, if anyone could remember this year make him quote me.

as I was going home with my fellow boys then, na so riot burst with agberos and Okada riders clashed with gun shots and cutlas flying while people and were getting shot, shops getting burnt and some guys getting cutlassed, na so me and my boys mate see one grill filled with Boli (roasted plantains), oh boy, see as we rushed there and packed Boli and groundnut like say we were looters. grin grin

There's hardly any problem in Africa that can't be traced to white people. Having said that, white people can't be blamed for the inability of South Africans today to understand the psychological reasons behind their actions and heal themselves. But that won't be easy because as long as white people have given them the illusion of freedom while they're still being colonized, its clear to me how they'll transfer their aggression to fellow Africans.
