Still having low breastmilk supply? Read this
.
Breastfeeding as natural as it seems does not come naturally to all mothers. Some mothers start flowing from day one of delivery while others have to put in more effort to achieve their desired flow.
.
I really cannot explain the feeling of incompetence and depression that comes with low breastmilk production. This alone can cause some new moms to go into depression.
.
So what can you do to prevent low milk supply and increase supply after delivery?
.
1. Start taking at least 3 liters of WATER daily right from pregnancy up until weaning period. Breastmilk is made up of 80 percent water so drinking the right amount of water daily is very essential.
.
2. Clean and massage the areola and entire breasts with OIL right from pregnancy. Use coconut oil especially to help remove built-in diets and open up the pores.
.
3. Start taking The Milkbooster LACTATION TREATS as early as 37th week of pregnancy. We have the cookies, granola, smoothie mix and cocoa mix. All these products are natural and made with effective lactogenic ingredients that’ll help you boost your milk supply.
.
4. Put baby to breast immediately after delivery. Except for cases where the mother and child are separated, otherwise encourage baby to LATCH on immediately after delivery.
.
5. Ensure you nurse or pump for at least TEN times daily. Now, this is where the real work comes in. This is the bedrock of milk production. Simply put, the more you stimulate the breast, the more milk you’ll produce.
.
Lots of mothers come to us and say “I don’t know what to do again, I’ve tried everything it’s not working, maybe I just cannot produce milk”. .
Then we ask: “how many times do you stimulate the breast daily” then they say “2 times” because their breast is not flowing and baby won’t suck.
.
Mothers needs to understand that babies are not patient. They don’t have the word “patience” explained to them where they are coming from. Your baby would not stay on a breast that’s not producing anything, yet you still need to stimulate the breast daily. How?
.
That’s where the BREASTPUMP comes in. .
To be continued.
