Okorocha destroyed institutions and institutional processes in Imo state. He became lord of the state, removing his deputies and SHA speakers the way he so desired. Silenced every percieved enemy. And to cover all this atrocities was his plan to installed his son in-law. Ihedioha should ensure transparency and due process in his government by regularly publishing state income and expenditure as well as having quarterly press media chat to evaluate performance and feedback from the people.

The Imo State govt will today release its 2019 budget. After years of secrecy, its 2015-2017 audited reports were last week released to BudgIT.

The Emeka Ihedioha's govt is also poised to sign up to the Open Budget System.

The Imo State Government would release its 2019 budget, which was signed into law by former governor Rochas Okorocha.

At a meeting with BudgIT, the state government also committed to signing the MoU on Open Budget System at the State Executive Meeting on Wednesday, September 11, 2019.

Note that this development enables us to support the state in meeting the WorldBank requirements for SFTAS development supports.

BudgIT is on nation-wide advocacy to state governments to improve their fiscal transparency and accountability.

If you budget to knock down our old secretariat to build new site for Imo state university in Owerri, as you propose, but ignore the nice university built by Okorocha govt for Imo state university at Ogboko, what you build must be abandoned by next governor.


It's no sin to have one of the six tertiary education institutions now in Owerri to be out of Owerri.

Nigeria's constitution does not even permit such cluster of development projects in one zone of a state.


Imo budget of destruction and rebuilding, after which next governor destroys is getting out of hand.

We are aware that former governor Okorocha proposed billions of Naira in this year's budget for expansion of his pet project of Owerri Mega City to far areas like Mbaise and Ngor Okpala, whereas rest of Imo state are threatened to extinction by floods and non navigable roads.
Nd'Imo refused Okorocha's Third tern bid via his son-in-law because of such selfish proposal that derived from their Business interests in Owerri area.

We are watching our new governor.

They should do fast and remove this idiot calling himself Governor. Everywhere and every institution in Imo are dying rapidly with increased crime and suicide within just 102 days but he is busy wasting our money on media propaganda not about his achievements but rather targeted at discrediting Rochas. Rochas is no more the Governor and can never again be so he should stop wasting our money chasing shadows.
