How to identify a bad ac evaporator:
Before you go about replacing your ac evaporator it is best to carry what we call the "3 step" procedure to ascertain that the leak in the system is from there:
1. start your engine first thing in the morning
2. Put the Air conditioner fan at full blast.
3. Place your nose close to the air vents by the passenger side and inhale deeply, if your percieve a strong semi burnt smell; you can be certain you have a case of a leaking ac evaporator if your don't percieve any anything it's best you check out other areas in the system for leaks.

Abeg no allow Ebola to enter people system from the vent....your advice is not medically okay. Call a qualified technician to bring out the evaporator and examine it properly...I know is some difficult task cos in some cars dashboard has to be dismantled but it worth the work.

the whole process shouldnt last up to 30 secs sir. This is much easier than having to take down your entire dashboard as some cars require only to realise that tge unit is ok.
