Nigerian Dream, Biafran Dream! by Stingman: 11:03am On Sep 13, 2019 |
It has become common for those who want the Nigeria unitary system of government to continue because they gain most from it, than those who want some form of autonomy so that they can progress and develop at their own pace. These group of people in Nairaland would call those people who want autonomy, like the Biafrans of dreaming. The question is, why can't they dream as well? Does it mean Nigeria has no dream? Does it mean that Biafra will become a better country than Nigeria? Most of the people who accuse others of dreaming are the people from SW and this is despite claiming to have the biggest IGR, sophistication, educated and most industrious in Nigeria. They have never professed Nigeria DREAM. Why 3 Likes |

Most of the people who accused others of dreaming were from the Sw.you're definitely right,No doubt about that.but why? Cos they believed that MANKIND MUST (RESOLVE To) BE PEACEFUL AND CIVILISED.Awolowo had imposed that on them. |

Abdul05: You have no idea of what mankind, peace and civilization means. Where were all that during OPC reign after Abiola's death? No progress can be made where wickedness, partiality, plain marginalization reigns. Without justice and fairness, peace will not be achieved. Again, why can't the SW profess Nigeria dream? Or Awolowo forgot to impose that on them too?

Stingman: Why? For all the Yoruba man's claim of being sophisticated, he is too scared to aspire to his own country. That's why Igbos dont take them seriously 1 Like |

the Nigerian dream for peace is a farce that can never materialize., so long they don't restructure this country & put it back to regional govt. & with the political system favouring the NW,NE &SW how will their ever peace. the only gain from Nigeria is our geographical size, cohesion of ethnic groups, natural resources, human capital & population that make us a force to be reckoned with in the world. the biafran dream is attractive because small/homogeneous independent countries have the potential of developing in speed & being ranked amongst the first world countries |
