“Once you can read and write and understand, you are presumed to have attained the equivalent of a secondary school certificate and can, therefore, stand for elections at any level,” Alhaji Tanko Yakassai said.

A famous northern politician, Alhaji Tanko Yakassai, has praised the presidential election petition tribunal for its verdict in favour of President Muhammadu Buhari

- The politician said that once a person is literate and has a secondary school certificate, he or she can contest in any election in Nigeria
Alhaji Tanko Yakassai, a northern politician famous in the second republic politician, has appreciated the efforts of the presidential election petition tribunal in the case between President Muhammadu Buhari and Atiku Abubakar.

Yakassai said that the verdict of the tribunal on Wednesday, September 11, put to an end to the arguments and petitions about President Buhari's academic qualification in relation to the last presidential election, The Sun reports.
The renowned northern politician stated that according to the tribunal, once a candidate can read and write with at least a secondary school certificate, such a person can contest in any election in Nigeria.

He said: “Once you can read and write and understand, you are presumed to have attained the equivalent of a secondary school certificate and can, therefore, stand for elections at any level.”
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that James Akinloye, president of the Initiative to Save Democracy, had outlined three reasons why Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2019 presidential election, could not defeat President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at
the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) .

In a piece published on Leadership, Akinloye said that Atiku’s petition was filled with many contradictions. Legit.ng notes that the analyst pointed out that Atiku, a former vice president of Nigeria, had said card readers had shown that he got over 16 million votes; yet, at another point, said that the same card readers were barely used in 11 northern states.

SMH!

So why are we now struggling to further in the Higher Education?

After the tertiary education, majority of the graduates still come back to be handwork apprentice.
It isn’t necessary to be a tertiary institution graduate before one can hold any position in Nigeria.

Seems like our higher institutions are now waste of time, resources and space to our leaders. Little wonder they hardly fund our institutions and shoot the students at site like “ejo aije”

So why are we now struggling to study in the university
I'm really ashamed. So all it takes is someone who can read and write to contest for the highest office in the country.

This is getting out of hand.

They do all this intentionally.

How many of their kids school in public school. They want to scatter of education system so the system will breed idiots who won't challenge them.

It's pretty obvious all they care about is themselves and themselves alone.

El-Rufai had said: “Nigeria consists of two countries; there is a backward, less educated and unhealthy northern Nigeria, and a developing, largely educated and healthy southern Nigeria.

We have to speak the truth to ourselves and ask why is it that northern Nigeria has development indicators similar to Afghanistan, a country still at war?

Chai! See this glorified mumu.Products of qouta system. This is the obvious fraud the British knew about but went ahead to force us into an unacceptable contraption called Nigeria where brutes arrogantly feel it's their fiefdom to dominate.

Yet proponents of this fraud keep on tell us that the unity of Nigeria is non-negotiable.Lord Lugard it will never be well with you. angry

Yes, even if you can read and write Arabic language you're qualified to contest for any position in this country.
After all, what are cows doing at the back of our N200 note if not that this country belongs to them.

It's quite unfortunate the bitter truth is that the criminal 1999 nigerian constitution has empowered those judges to give that vedict until nigerians will wake up from their deep slumber to dismantle and destroy that demonic document Nigeria will always continue to go in circles.
