Public Primary Schools in Edo
Witness Influx of Pupils from
Private Schools as Edo BEST Attracts Parents and Guardians.
Mr. Enagbare is a parent who
withdrew three of his children
from a private school to be
registered at Oba Akenzua Primary School in Oredo Local Government.
According to him, "Despite the
huge money we spend in private
schools, my children are not doing
well academically. So I decided to
enroll them in a public primary
school. From the news I hear from
other parents like me that public
schools have improved greatly
because of Edo BEST".
Mrs Aitokpa Justina decided to
withdraw her daughter from a
private school in Uromi and enrol
her at Ivue Primary School, in Esan
North East LGA. "She is going to
primary three; when you ask her to spell 'come' she can't and If you ask her to spell 'go' she can't. For that reason I decide to remove her from private school and bring her to government school because I heard they are now teaching very well in government school" Mrs Aitopka said.
The Story is not very different in
Badeki Primary School, Imiegba,
Azamanodu Primary School,
Imiekebu, and Atakhekha Primary
School, Itsukwi, Estako East,
amongst others, which have
recorded a significant number of
increase in pupils enrolment in this new academic session, majority of them coming from private schools.
All across the 18 LGAs of the State,
there is an in-bound wave of pupils trooping into Edo BEST schools. which according to the testimonies of most parents and guardians, deliver a more qualitative education to their children/wards.
With Edo BEST it is no longer
business as usual. Teachers are
motivated, pupils are eager and
the learning atmosphere and
conditions are friendly.
Edo BEST provides quality
education for every child.
