Twitter users called out the protesters for victim-blaming.

Some pointed out that the murdered women were likely victims of the latest method of ritual killings where online vendors are lured to hotels for business but on getting there they are killed.

Other pointed out that even if the slain women were prostitutes, that doesn't excuse their murder.

The protest comes barely 24 hours after another female victim was found dead in an hotel room in the city of Port Harcourt, on Sunday.

At least, 10 ladies have been reportedly killed under similar circumstances, within the space of few months all in Port Harcourt.

I am disappointed not because of the message but rather the wasted energy behind this.

instead of marching to the police to increase the awareness and mount pressure on them .
instead of taking to media houses and the localities to help spread awareness of a killer at Large .
