Activities in the capital city of the food basket of the nation was brought to a grandstanding as the city witnessed an uncommon collaboration between two passionate impact making like minded Nigerian women namely Dr. Lady Francisca Uche Obi (Phd) led Women And Family Advancement Initiative (WAFAI) and Hon. Eunice Bosua led Excellent Leadership for sustainable Democracy & Good Governance.*

The two non-governmental organizations stormed Markudi, the capital of Benue State to practicalise the gospel of stomach infrastructure and women empowerment.

The event witnessed the creme de la creme of the state which include His Excellency Sen. Dr. Gabriel Suswam, Sen. Abba Moro, Sen. Orkar Jev, Rt. Hon. Titus UBA, Speaker Benue State House of Assembly, Hon. Christopher Adaji, Deputy Speaker, Hon. Demian T. Cheme,
Majority Leader, Benue State House of Assembly, wives of the the honourable members, members of the state house of Assembly, traditional rulers and clergymen and women.

The event which was tagged distribution of materials to the less privileged lived to its name and public expectation as the group donated *over 50 Bags of rice, 50 bags of salt, 100 wrappers, Grinding machines, cartons of indomie* to the teeming populace through the representative of the three senatorial district and their state Assembly counter part.

The citizens who were over joyed by the kind gesture of Dr. Lady Francisca Uche Obi, The Anambra State born WAFAI founder who donated the materials in partnership with Hon. Eunice Bosua, the ELSDGG founder.

The Chairman of the occasion and former Governor of Benue State, Sen. Dr. Gabriel Suswam and other senators through their powerful delegation showered encomiums on the duo for the partnership which was aimed at lifting the less privileged, they further expressed their desires and readiness to partner with the group.

Rt. Hon. Titus UBA,
Speaker Benue state House of Assembly and other House of Assembly members who graced the occasion lauded the group for choosing Benue State as its pilot state as it embarks on empowering women across the six geo-political zone.


Dr. Francesca Uche Obi and Hon. Eunice Bosua stated that they were touched by the plight of poor and underprivileged women in the state and hence their plan to empower them. The duo who were accompanied by their team members namely Hon. Tony Okonkwo, Amb. Timothy Nwachukwu, Amb. Frank Ikegbu and Ace Broadcaster Emmanuel among others.

The event witnessed media houses from Benue State television, Wazobia FM among others.
