The presidential villa, popularly known as Aso Rock, has this dented reputation for influencing people’s character for the worse. It seems Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, will be the latest to substantiate that claim.

On Monday, he was alleged to have abused and threatened a journalist, Mr John Ameh, who works with The Punch at the Presidential Villa. Adesina used to be a media mogul before his appointment in 2015. He was known to be a publisher that was vocal against the system. What has suddenly changed?

Journalists were at the Villa to cover events. But Adesina walked in and, without exchanging courtesies, began to scream and gesticulate aggressively at Ameh in the full glare of his colleagues.
