It is reported that the White House got a letter from Kim Jong Un from North Korea inviting President Trump to visit Pyongyang, which could be the first overture before the prospective fourth official visit.

Reuters was not immediately responded to by the White House and the State Department to verify the report in the Joongang Ilbo newspaper in South Korea. Reportedly, the letter pre-dated the last short-range launch of the country from a week earlier.

In these debates, the latest shakeup of the White House could have had consequences.

For a long time, North Korea expressed contempt for John Bolton, the former national security adviser to Trump. Pyongyang called him a "warmonger" and "defective human product," glorifying change of government and preventive strikes.

Trump came so far last week as to accuse Bolton of scaring Kim away from negotiations by citing last year's "Libya model" in debating what might look like a North Korean denuclearization contract.

Moammar Gaddafi of Libya was stunned and murdered in 2011 after renouncing weapons of mass destruction.

Trump said Kim wished "nothing to do with John Bolton." And the president said that he did not blame the leader of North Korea for being angry.
