MY YEAR ROUND

On this day,
so solemn, so leading
I resolve as I retain
my grand inclinations

today, I breathe anew
I recount as I resound
my pulchritude, my blessings

Amidst trivial ills,
in realms of trailing tempest
God ordained my conquest
*
I save a quantum gratitude
for all anchorpersons, allies
so magnanimous in thick & thin.
*
Worthwhile till this day,
God feeds my breath
with beaming smiles, so esteemed
I see it daily, 'women are gods'.
