The Ondo State government Says the demolition of shops along Alagbaka area of Akure, the state capital has not in anyway violated any law.

The state Commissioner for physical planning and urban development, Mr Rasheed Badmus in his reaction, said the ministry acted on a tip off that criminals were being harboured in the area to perpetrate dastardly acts.

Badmus explained that the shop owners had been served quit notice but refused to comply for month than three months noting that the government would not condone any act of lawlessness capable of putting the state in jeopardy.

He maintained that the exercise would also be replicated in areas suspected to be prone to danger.
