The TECNO Camon 12 series is here, but there is another member of the trio that has somehow not been publicized enough and thats the Camon 12 Air. The device, which is apparently made for the youth was announced alongside the Camon 12 and Camon 12 Pro in an event in Hong Kong sometime last week but did not make an appearance in other stages such as last week’s Nigeria reveal.

While not superior to the others in terms of specifications, the Camon 12 Air brings a punch-hole selfie snapper, something that has been done companies such as Samsung but hasn’t been very popular with other manufacturers that continue to use other ways to minimize bezels as much as possible. This, in principle, makes the Air 12 very futuristic, and that is a win for people who do not like screen cutouts like yours truly.

The rest of the specs are mostly the same the Camon 12: the Dot-in screen is big at 720p 6.55 inches (the Pro model has a slightly small 6.4”), which, alongside the aforementioned punch-hole front camera guarantees a 90 percent screen to body ration. It is also equipped with a triple camera at the rear, which has become a norm in the smartphone world after the dual-lens race started becoming too mainstream. The system packs 16 MP, 5 MP and 2 MP sensors for versatility such as shooting wide-angle images (at 120°) and portrait pictures. As usual, TECNO has snuck in AI that should theoretically make it easy to capture nice photos without fiddling with settings.

Memory-wise, the Camon 12 Air packs 32 GB of RAM and 3 RB of RAM. The package is juiced by a 4000 mAh cell. The manufacturer has, however, not revealed the chipset running the show, although we suspect it is the MTK Helio P22 found in the Camon 12.

Of course, the device is probably better than the ordinary 12 just for the display. We are also glad Transsion managed to pull off the design, considering the phone does not cost a lot of money. so guys, tell me, what do you think about this phone?

pics available, but the official price hasn't been released yet considering the fact that the device itself hasn't even been mentioned officially in Nigeria yet. But the camon 12 goes for 47,500 so personally I expect this one to be cheaper
