Isn't It Time To Do What's Best For Ourselves In Nigeria by Nobody: 3:44am On Sep 21, 2019
The proclamation of Nigeria's independence in 1960 was everyone's hope for a better future, but today, our hope has disappeared. Our struggling increase day by day and our problem keeps multiplying. Why? Are we truly free and living in freedom? Are we living in peace? Are we living in unity? Isn't it time to fight.
Nigeria became a republic in 1963, however power never resides with the people and the elected leaders ain't governing according to law. The government are using the power for themselves and they are not obeying the rule of law. The government are using their personal interest to kill the public interest and they are doing whatever that please them. The government don't care about the masses and the masses are impotent. The government are enslaving us in our father's land and they are making us to suffer in a proclaimed nation. The government are overbearing. Are we truly a republic? Are we truly a democratic nation?
In addition, Nigeria has become a joke and our leaders have become too commercialized. Our leaders have built our hope and determination on lies, we have lost since the beginning of our independence. Our leaders have traded our life and country to strangers, they have been untruthful and unfaithful to us. Our leaders are cheating us, slaving us, and stealing from us. They have scammed us for independence sake.
Obviously, we all know that Nigeria is not growing and our economy is not expanding. In 1970, Nigeria economy was better than that of China, but today, Nigeria has lost it momentum. The production and consumption of goods and services now is below expectation and has been erratic. If the government are truly fighting for us, they suppose to have make a change. But, the government are only fighting for themselves, they keep promising us a change, but we see none. Instead we see more hardship. There's nothing good or new that we can boast of, or that we enjoy in Nigeria.
Moreover, everybody is to blamed for the disabilities of our great nation. None of us is paying his/her pledge as pledged. None of us is willing to serve our country with love and strength and faith. We are so full of iniquities and so corrupt. We have a foolish mindset.
Finally, we are suppose to have known by now that our leaders cannot do anything to solve our problem. Our leaders have also know that we have begin to sense that, they are cheats. So, are we still going to be sleeping and smiling, while we are suffering. When are we going to stop being foolish? Isn't it time to fight for our right, for justice, for good governance and to right the wrong in our country. Won't we free ourselves from the lies our leaders are feeding us, and stop being deceive. Ain't we suppose to take back the power meant for the people. Ain't we suppose to call upon God. Ain't we suppose to work together as one in love and strength and faith.
In a nut shell, Nigeria is not what we thought she was, and not what she meant to be. Nigeria is a joke and the only medicine for Nigeria is unity. If we are united, our things would be effected. I implore us all to uphold unity with love among ourselves and do what's best for ourselves, if we truly want to become a nation bound in freedom, peace and unity. Or else, we'll continue being the victim of casualties. Remember, heaven helps those who help themselves and if we think we can or we can't, we are right. God bless Nigeria.
