Vice-Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 elections, Peter Obi, has advised the minister of labour and employment, Chris Ngige, to focus his energy on making Nigeria work, rather than engaging in mischief. https://leakers.ng/politics/2089-focus-on-your-duty-stop-the-mischief-peter-obi-to-ngige/ 7 Likes

Peter Okwute vs Ngige Ekwekwe will always end in a draw! Ladies and gentlemen, before these two great sons of Anambra State governed the state, successive governors had made us believe that once salaries were paid, little was left for development. Things got worse under Mbadinuju as workers were owed and refused to work for several months. Chris Ngige changed all those nonsense narratives. He proved to us in Anambra that governance is possible by first clearing arrears of salaries owed workers by Mbadinuju, instituted mechanism to pay workers by 26th day of every month. He build very durable roads that are still there till today. He fought and won Chris Uba sponsored and Obasanjo condoned acts of bringadage. Peter Obi continued where Ngige stopped, build more roads that opened up many communities and upped the ante by adopting UN MDG goals into his goals and shrewd management of state resources. The rest as they say is history. 49 Likes 1 Share |

Ngige is still the best Governor Anambra has had. Obi does not even come close comparing the prevailing political atmosphere, the resources at their disposal and the time they spent. Addition... I am neither PDP nor APC and i reject most members of igbo political class including ngige and obi for the role the are playing in enthroning fulani hegemony. Ngige was better .Ngige spent less than 3 yrs in office but obi spent a whooping eight yes. Ngige's administration resumed when the state coffers was literally dry civil servants, teachers, all govt agencies were owed, the state was under the evil grip god fathers and insecurity prevailed to an extent. He came, wrestled the federal backed god fathers on one hand and performed wonders on the other hand. he settled worker areas, pensioners areas, teachers areas without making noise. what is more, he constructed quality roads, renovated hospitals, schools and recruited more teachers and workers. in fact life came back to an almost dead state. For obi, He got more than 6 times of the total revenue Ngige got yet one wonders how these were spent. He had no clear achievement in his first four yes. in the second half of his adminstration he did many roads but they were extremely substandard, he built the state secretariat, CONVERTED the Awka general hospital into a teaching hospital after halting a the construction of a new one stated by Ngige administration. despite huge allocations he neither recruited workers nor teacher except the done about a month to the end of his 8yrs tenure, he had a long industrial dispute with doctors, judiciary ASUU and state water corporation over mundane reasons. Despite not having any governor who enjoyed such relationship like the one obi enjoyed with Jonathan, nothing good came out of it for the benefit of Anambra state. instead, political hawks gathered Jonathan and confused him in thinking he enjoyed absolute support of Igbo masses. even obiano in all his drunkenness got the FG in constructing Enugu/Onitsha expressway and second Niger bridge. Jonathan loved igbo, but obi and other close to him used that for personal interest despite ekwueme's warnings, which saw to jonathan's defeat. Ngige was better and is more principled. history has a way of passing judgement. most of obis project like roads, state secretariat, nkpor flyover are all being reconstructed already while those did earlier by Ngige are still solid. 19 Likes 3 Shares |

Ngige should strive not to be the proverbial bird that challenged its god to a fight after a meal. He should Remember that power is unfaithful. It changes hands. Back to the issue, I only weep for the in helm of affairs in Anambra 2 Likes |

I like this kind of argument, they are arguing about what they both did for their people in Anambra, can we have Orji Kaku, Theodore Orji and Kerosene Ikpeazu talk about they did for Abia State, they have nothing to show like Ngige and Obi 5 Likes |

Ngige should mind his business, Obi was the best Governor so far in Anambra, I can say this a thousand times, my village never had any tarred road until Obi came, today we can boast of good roads and solar lights courtesy of Obi and Uche Ekwunife. 11 Likes 1 Share |
