i am posting this here to get Messi fans to shut it and stop painting Messi as an angel of light and Ronaldo angel of darkness You don't vote for your closest Rival 1. Messi never voted for Ronaldo till he left Laliga, and the votes of 2018 and 2019 for Ronaldo are inconsequential votes 2. Why didn't Messi vote for VVD, his closest rival at all, this year? Ronaldo never voted for Messi, coz he believes Messi is the only player that can do better or win something over him, same applies to Messi
