Do you want to become a Journalist in Nigeria? If yes, see the type of school and the course you need to study here. To become a professional journalist in Nigeria, you'll need to have a bachelor's degree (BA or HND) in either journalism or communications. While completing your degree, you can choose to specialize in either print or broadcast journalism.

In Nigeria, some universities offer Mass Communications while others offer Communication Arts. You can also qualify to become a Journalist if you have HND in Mass Communication from a recognized Polytechnic.

To get on a relevant degree you'll need five SSCE credit passes A-C, including maths, English and other relevant subjects such as; Literature-in-English, Government, Economics or History. With the way most journalists write I doubt they went through all that. Nowadays bloggers write more interesting and engaging articles while mainstream journalists drone and bore someone regarding topics.
