Some states will go into debt paying that eventually. Northern states takes the highest in allocation, what about states who don't take as much as the northern states?

This is laudable. But wait, what percentage of increment is effected for workers on level 7 and above? Unless, we see that, it will be difficult to believe if what is being paid Kaduna workers is actually the appropriate new minimum wage.

Try and know about allocation please, allocation is based on productivity of a state. As per as I’m concern non of the northern states is an oil producing state. So the oil producing states goes with the highest allocation. angry

the guy is technically right o. Allocations are based on some factors: One is population and the second is based on 13% derivation ( for oil producing states). Based on population, the North has it. If not for that 13% and other oil money, a state like Delta/ Bayelsa no go smell money wey Kaduna/ Katsina/Kano got take home

You and the guy are 'technically' wrong o. If by population Kaduna State takes more money than Bayelsa State, then by technicality they are getting the same amount of money. Kaduna State has about 40 l.g.a and Bayelsa about 8. It's simple arithmetic

All na politics. El-rufai is owing several contractors to the tune of billions. I don't know why the guy loves playing to the gallery. His son was enrolled in a well-equipped public school earkier in the week and he was bragging about it as a governor who encourages education in public schools. Go to Zango kataf, kafanchan, , Kagoro, Zonkwa, up till Zaria if you would find the same infrastructural facilities in his son's school there. My friend's parent is a stores officer in one of the primary schools in zango kataf. The infrastructure is in a sorry state. The state hospitals projects were put on hold due to lack of funds. His case is not different from what other state governors encounter, except he has a money-printing machine at home

From what I heard, it's 60 percent increment. I know of someone who was receiving 46k but got 75k.(she's in level 10). I know of another who was previously receiving 37k but received 57k(level 7) and I know of someone in the teaching sector who was receiving 33k without education certificate and now just received 54k.(level 8 step 5) those with education certificates saw 59k. So do the maths .
