The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) is currently recruiting for a non-profit international development organization to fill the following vacant positions: A. Job Title: Head of Fund Development & Communication Location: Lagos/Abuja The Head of Fund Development & Communication (FDC) is responsible for effectively managing the FDC department to increase funding and sponsorship opportunities by providing strategic direction which includes corporate fundraising; individual fundraising; local and international sponsorships; institutional partnership development; marketing and communications and data management and analysis. Role Highlights • Define, implement and fulfil the middle-term FDC strategy in line with the National Strategic Plan; conduct research and analyze trends to conceptualize and formulate innovative ideas for new opportunities for the FDC department. • Position the organization as a strong and consistent brand among existing and potential supporters in line with the vision, mission and values of the organization. • Shape, manage and drive the implementation of an effective outreach and communication campaign to educate and cultivate community support for our brand and improved visibility. • Manage fundraisers’ targets and activities monthly, compile and submit FDC reports as well as provide input into the annual budget through feasibility calculations. • Provide strong leadership and direction to team, set medium to long-term goals/objectives for teams, monitor implementation and foster national capacity building in all areas of fundraising. Job Requirements • Understanding of NGO’s operations, best practices and market trends • Understanding of the child and youth development principles • Knowledge of programmes in an NGO environment, strong negotiation, communication and networking skills and knowledge of relevant Nigerian legislation • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and craft successful funding proposals • Experience with website and newsletter production and message development Education: At least a first degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, International Business Development Experience: Minimum of 10 years post-graduation experience and 3-5 years managerial experience with an understanding of NGO’s operations, best practices and market trends. B. Job Title: Human Resource Coordinator Location: Abuja The overview of the role is to coordinate organization design and strategic perspective of the organization, implement HR Policies and to support employees in aligning with HR processes. Role Highlights • Support the programme locations in developing HR plans and strategies aligned to the organization’s strategic direction as well as the full implementation of the defined HR standards and good practices in the locations. • Coordinate & facilitate change process in the organization • Support the process of recruitment, selection & placement of employees together with relevant line managers and the coordination of the induction/orientation of employees as well as the implementation of training/development of staff. • Support the implementation of performance and career management system aimed at contributing directly to the business strategy • Support Heads of functions in the programme locations to effectively implement Human Resource initiatives and other related policies within local contexts Job Requirements Education: BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; additional education in Human Resource Management.
