Member Kogi State House of Assembly, representing Ijumu Constituency, Hon. Olusola Kilani has felicitated with Nigeria and her citizens on the celebration of the country at 59th year of Independence.

Hon Kilani said that despite the fierce interference of the military rule, the country has been able to stand firm and undivided, stating that Nigeria is still on the right track of achieving greatness in the future

He added that even though Nigeria is still a developing country, it has the potential of becoming one of the great nations in the universe through its mineral resources if efforts are properly channeled towards harnessing the minerals for a sustainable economic prosperity.

He urged Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of unity, oneness and patriotism and eschew from promoting tribalism, terrorism and other social vices that are capable of relegating the country among its contemporaries.

He appealed to Nigerians to continue to have faith in the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari and urged kogites to support the administration of Kogi State governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, stressing that both of them have been able to foster unity and deliver the dividends of democracy to the door steps of the people.

Hon. Kilani acknowledged the efforts of the heroes who have pass away while fighting for the liberation of Nigeria as a country, he prayed that their labour will never be in vain
