STRATEGIES TO INCREASE YOUR SALES (PART ONE).

Lots of big companies like Nestle, Coca-Cola, 7Up, MTN, Jumia, Konga and others are using the sales promo strategy to rake in more sales and make more profit.

Till date, only few small business owners had tapped into this business model.

In this article, I am going to show you things you stand to benefit when you use this strategy for your business and how you can use it effectively.
I will be illustrating the Promo-Sales strategy using a Barbing Saloon as a case study.

Though, there lots of styles you can implement when you want to use the Promo strategy to boost your product or service sales but in this article I will only discuss three (3).

RAFFLE DRAW STRATEGY

Assuming you own a barbing saloon and you want to boost your monthly sales for a period of three months.

One of the best promo strategy to use is the RAFFLE DRAW STRATEGY.

How do you use this strategy?

Firstly, you need to decide the amount you intend to raise within that period of 3 months.

If your monthly target is additional N100,000 and you are operation the saloon for 30 days in a month then you are looking to increase your daily haircut by 100%.

Assuming your saloon is making a monthly sales of N100,000 per month.

That is:

N300 = Haircut price
30 = Numbers of days in a month
12 = Average haircut per day

meaning:

12 X 300 X 30 = N108,000

Now, to increasing your daily haircut to 24 per day for 3 months. You don't need to work 24 hours, instead you only need to use the RAFFLE DRAW STRATEGY.

Assuming the gifts, the raffle draw winners stands to get are:

1- Small Honda Generator (N50,000)
2- GOTV/STARTIME Decorder with 2 months subscription (N15,000)
3- Small TECHNO/ITEL Phone (N10,000)

Total raffle draw worth = N75,000

(N108,000 X 3) - N75,000 = N249,000

Because customers want to win any of the displayed gifts, they will end up patronizing you more so as to get more raffle tickets which in turn will increase their chances of winning.

It means at the end of the third month, you would have gain +/- N249,000.
