A Finland based legal practitioner and former President, Igbo Union in Finland, Prince Simon Ekpa has queried reasons for the Celebration of Nigeria’s 59th Independence.

Prince Ekpa who accused Nigerian leaders of spending billions to celebrate what he called ‘A failed Nation’ warned friends not to tag him in any post that was intended to celebrate the nations 59th Independence Anniversary.

Ekpa who is also an Immigration specialist wondered why the countries leaders could spend billions for a celebration that does not really worth it.

‘’If in 2019, you have Nigeria, the poverty capital of the world, and you sit in the government Houses in the whole of thirty six states, spending billions, celebrating and organising banquets for the 59th Independence Day; What does that say; In Nigeria today, there are a lot of insecurity, there is no job, there are a lot of extra-judicial killings, there is no electricity, there is hunger in the land, and all you do is spend billions to organise banquets, and then you want to celebrate independence’’
