A Microfinance Bank with international affiliation and a sub of a financial holding company is currently seeking to hire qualified candidate to join their growing team to be the right hand of our thriving MD.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chief Operating Officer

Location: Nigeria

Job Descriptions

Candidates must be experienced and talented, and be able to lead our team of high- performing professionals to be efficient, productive, and effective.
Our ideal candidate has extensive experience within the banking industry, perhaps having worked your way up through the ranks to your role as an executive.
We believe this trajectory helps develop a unique mix of business and management expertise, plus proficiency with the practices, policies, and procedures of the biochemical industry.
We have our eye out for a COO with strong leadership skills and the ability to approach business from a creative point of view
Responsibilities

Design, plan and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
Set comprehensive goals for business growth and success
Establish policies and procedures that promote the bank’s culture and vision
Oversee daily operations and the work of executives
Lead employees with an example
Be a motivator for other employees.
Analyse and interpret data and metrics
Create reports for the management
Take the lead in expansion activities
Maintain relationships with partners and vendors.
Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field.
10- 12+ years progressively responsible Compliance/Audit experience.
5+ years of experience in related management/leadership capacity.
FCIN & other relevant qualification and professional registration.
Proven analytical skills and problem solving ability paired with meticulous attention to detail.
Self-motivated and proactive team player.
Strong organizational skills with an ability to effectively manage competing priorities
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, consistently adhering to deadlines and evolving priorities.
Communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent team player.
Diligent, Ethical & principle
