No court in the land has tagged them illegal.

The reruns that were affirmed previous times include:

Ngige vs Akunyuli
Ohakim vs Okorocha
Kogi state last gubernatorial election.
Bayelsa state last gubernatorial election.
Osun state election.

Recently

Sokoto state gubernatorial election
Kano state gubernatorial election


Reruns simply means the election is yet to be concluded.

It's legality is immaterial to who was leading before and who finally won.

I always say that those Rivers and Akwa Ibom cases of 2015 will always come back to hunt political gladiators and the judicial system.

The election of Wike in 2015 was fraught with so many irregularities.

They used blackmail and sentiment to pursue their victories at the supreme court and went on celebration and mocking galore after the judgement, not realising the precedence it portends.

Taking cue from that judgment till date, the Supreme court has not invalidated any gubernatorial election. People are just wasting their time and money at the courts.

I definitely know that before the supreme court can throw out any gubernatorial election, it must be far worse than Wike's 2015 election.

And the judgment was rightly overturned at the Appeal court, and the overturn affirmed by the Supreme court. End of story.

It was overturned because of the absence of a judge at the tribunal- technicality issue.
