Ministry of Aviation must have an office close to MMA or Abuja airport

NIMASA must have head office in the creeks of Niger Delta

Let's be honest with ourselves... Of what use are those state ministers exactly??! We keep talking about cutting cost of governance, yet keep creating white elephant/ghost portfolios... Come to even think of it, most so called state ministers never leave Abuja, and bring next to nothing to the already ineffectual ministry.

lemme relate this to what okorocha said, "what's the essence of 360 and 109 senators and Reps from various states."" 0i think I'd agree with him because it's totally a waste of funds. each state should have 2 slot for rep and Senate respectively to cut the cost of governance as u said..

some unnecessary ministers in various state should be scrapped.

amos adamu suggested we sell the stadium off. he was abused and cursed. today the stadium is useless

1. Amos Adamu was corrupt, unceremoniously dismissed and banned from sports. His mismanagement of COJA funds is well known......
2. Selling off stadia in not a proven antidote to the mismanagement of our sporting facilities. We can borrow a left for the privatization in which govt asset were sold for pittance, power privatisation in which discos are friends and croonies of the govt and politicians.
3. Stadia will stop being useless if the sports industry can be gotten to be viable. If private sectors can be encouraged to come in partnership to build a competitive sports business, then Stadia will not only be overwhealmed, private clubs will even build their own stadium.

You might as well relocate to other stadia in Nigeria before you can carry out your duties. Nothing laudable about this honestly and some are justifying it.

The Minister of Youth and Sports Development,
Mr Sunday Dare has relocated his office to the
MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

Dare stated that the move was in line with his
promise to ensure that the nation’s sports
facilities are restored to become fully functional.
He made the disclosure in a statement by Mr
Ramon Balogun, Assistant Director, Press in the
ministry.

He said that with the move, he has made good on
his earlier promise to keep a close tab on the
revitalisation of Nigeria’s sporting facilities.
“It is also a sharp departure from what has been
regarded as the norm in the past,” he said.


The Minister indicated that he will be working
sometimes days of the week from the stadium.
He asserted that the Youth and Sports ministry
was a critical artery to Nigeria’s human capital
development, adding, that 13 Ministries have
youth development as part of their budgets and
mandate.

The ministry according to him, will leverage on
the pivotal advantage expressed in the National
Youth Policy for the socio-economic
empowerment of our youths.

He emphasised the importance of communication
to youth and sports development while urging the
press unit of the Ministry to improve on its
professionalism by reporting events timely and
accurately with authentic and approved facts
before disseminating to the Nigerian public.
He also reemphasised his determination to give
the youth component of the ministry’s mandate
massive attention.
