The apapa gridlock isn't mainly caused by bad road, the army ,police and lastma officials deliberately creat a gridlock that will cause the drivers to want to pass the opposite lane and to pass you need to bribe with about 120,000 naira per truck.

Nigerians and deontology are 5&6.

People only obey and enforce laws when they have something to gain.

But the president gave “marching orders” to the security agencies to clear the mess at the ports and its environs early this year. The question is did he follow up to ensure compliance? Obviously NO.

The security agents there are well organized in the business of extortion. The ports are veritable sources of daylight and nighttime robberies by the security persons placed there to clear the roads. Before now the Navy personnel who drove through that axis would ensure free flow of traffic. Now the navy people there ensure blocked roads to make money. Infact I think that a lot of the security men bribe their ways to get posted to the ports.

The major problem that we have is the failure of good governance. A lot of our government officials have their trucks operating there and so would never ensure smoothness of operations there.

Where is the so called political will of our president? If he cannot ensure that his instructions are carried out over “little” matters like this then there is a very big problem with his leadership.

Apapa.....Wahala is too much there.(APAPA WAHALA)

before Apapa to Ikeja is 60-70k per 40ft container now is ranging between 250-400k depending on the shipping line.

transit time from Ikeja to Apapa before is maximum of 16hours but now is 1months and 2days

They pay for express but sometimes your money enter voice mail because your truck can be turn back at anytime then you start all over to spend.

If what is happening at Apapa and Tincan port road happen in some sane countries, the citizen will not only protest but shot down the economy until this problem is fixed.

last year Nov-Dec, We lost so much as buyer cancel order worth millions." when i told him trucks taking containers to the port will spend 1month" he laugh and said is better We deliver the cargo to him by road" Very funny.

He got offer from Malaysia and to my surprise he gave us update every seconds and order only took 4hours from factory to the port.

Nigeria want business to grow but no any policy to encourage business.
