I think sanwolu need to stepdown for those who know how to do this job. Our road is bad and we can't go by sea/water again. I think, Tinubu need to caution him.

Me thinks same... after seeing the headline, I just thought that the hyacinth came out of the water and occupied. Bloggers in Nigeria need to go back to school.

Water hyacinth is a free-floating perennial aquatic plant (or hydrophyte) native to tropical and sub-tropical South America. With broad, thick, glossy, ovate leaves, water hyacinth may rise above the surface of the water as much as 1 meter in height.

Eichhornia crassipes, commonly known as common water hyacinth, is an aquatic plant native to the Amazon basin, and is often a highly problematic invasive species outside its native range.
thanks for educating me in particular

Sorry to see Lagos is falling apart. Those of us that saw the good Ambode was doing were shouted on.
Holdup all over the place. Broken down roads, no more street lights, oshodi returning back to what it was years ago now the water ways Ambode was developing filled with water hycients.
I know the current gov will not perform as he is only there to fill up the warehouse with cash for the 2023 ambitions of his master.

There's a water craft that harvests these plants. Smaller African countries even own it. Nigeria is just a giant by mouth.

When the current of the water changes, it will move on its own provided there's no vessel or boats barricading its way.

a nigerian researcher some years back came up and his research and said that he could use this plant as fertilizer and needed govt support then , naturally of course , he was ignored

The first person to start importing AIR-BOATS to Nigeria, will become very rich, very fast.

An air-boat is a regular flat-hulled fishing boat, rigged up with an aircraft engine ABOVE the water, and this enables an air-boat to travel over weeds and even solid ground, with ease. Check out this video to see air-boats in action.

Water weed blockage is not an issue with a powerful air-boat.
