Information Parrot Nigeria The bid of Chief David Lyon, the Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Bayelsa State to emerge as the next governor of the state received a massive boost on Saturday as Bayelsans from Epie/Atissa hit the streets of Yenagoa, the state capital to rally support for him. Information Parrot Nigeria gathered that the rally with its theme "Epie/Atissa Unity Rally for David Lyon" commenced from Igbogene community down to Yenagoa jetty were a casket with inscription of PDP was thrown into the River as a symbol of rejection by the twin kingdoms. The massive crowd of supporters were led by Hon. Diekivie Ikiogha, Hon. Markmanuel Parkinson, and Hon. Godknows Powell. Others on the train included Hon.Patterson Jerry, Hon. Preye Agama, Hon.Wilcox Omons and the Youth leader of Yenagoa APC ward 4 constituency, Commander Omaro Ekwems among others. There was musical display and other performances by talented artists from Bayelsa State. Chief David Lyon, a renowned philanthropist and friend of the poor has been receiving massive support across Bayelsa State after his emergence. It is unclear if he can garner the needed support to unseat Gov.Seriake Dickson's anointed candidate, Senator Douye Diri of the PDP in the November Governorship Election in the state.
