The Man: Mr. Joseph Peter

The quote above perfectly described the man, Mr. Joseph Peter. Mr. Joseph Peter is the younger brother to former World Boxing Champion (WBC) DSP Samuel Peter OON. He hails from Nung Ekandem, Ikot Akpan Ediene Oku Clan in Uyo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. He holds a B.Sc. in Business Management from the prestigious University of Calabar, Calabar. Joseph Peter is married with children. He is endowed with the virtue of honesty and integrity which has defined his personality and singled him out from the crowd, little wonder why the 35th President of the United States, Dwight D. Eisenhower once said that the supreme quality of leadership is unquestionable integrity. Mr. Joseph Peter possesses the integrity that makes him a good leader.

Mr. Joseph Peter has been an inspiration to many who have come in contact with him through his good examples. He is one young man that is dependable, especially in tough situation, and has the ability to inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more. When it comes to accountability, Mr. Peter can comfortably fit into Arnold H. Glasow’s description of a good leader when he asserted that “a good leader who takes little more than his share of blame and little less than his share of credit.”

In his bid to bring his leadership prowess to bare and touch the lives of people in his immediate community, he aspired to contest as councillor in 2012. He was appointed as Supervisor for Agriculture and Natural Resources, and with this appointment, Peter was able to make a difference between success and failure. He is a good leader who has a futuristic vision and knows how to turn his ideas into real world success stories.

He has served his people in several capacities including: Chairman Youth Caucus, Chairman PDP Youth alliance Uyo Chapter as well as Chapter Officer of the PDP in Uyo Local Government Area. He is a one- time Councillorship and House of Assembly aspirant and still has burning desires to impart the lives of his people through his philanthropist nature.

A cursory look at the person of Mr. Joseph Peter exposes a man with pleasant ambient crest with a convivial character while relating with him. He is a congenial personality even in the face of uncertainty; though always firm in his decision to get things work. He is creative, innovative and has a strong sense of ethical and moral values which he can never compromise irrespective of what the situation might be.
