Ondo state governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has said the road between Ikun in Akoko South-West and Afo in Ose local government would soon be fixed.

The governor, who revealed that his administration’s commitment to the infrastructural development of the state was total, also stressed that every other people-centred projects that needed to be attended to would soon be looked into within the available resources.

According to the governor, no part of the state would be left untouched in the ongoing infrastructural development across the state.

Akeredolu spoke at the burial ceremony of Pa Fredrick Oluwameye Olisa, father of the Special Assistant to governor on Administration, Roland Olisa, held at St Matthew’s Anglican Church, Imeri.

The governor who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Olugbenga Ale, disclosed that government would continue to ensure even and equitable distribution of infrastructural projects across the three senatorial districts of the state.

“Since we came on board what we have been doing has been equitable. We have always been making sure that all the three senatorial districts- the Southern, Central and Northern, are being attended to in the ongoing infrastructural development. You can see the balancing in the infrastructural provision in the state.

“As we are constructing roads in the South, we are also constructing in the Centre and the North and all the 18 local government areas have benefited from the various projects.

“The schools we are reconstructing are all over the state. We are paying salaries of workers regularly regardless of your cadre. We will continue to ensure everybody benefits from our administration.

“When the bridge linking Ikun-Akoko to Oba was washed away by flood, government responded immediately and reconstructed the bridge.
